Hefei, China — During the 14th Five-Year Plan, Hefei reported strong industrial and investment achievements, highlighted by its booming new energy vehicle (NEV) sector.

The city has attracted 553 NEV-related projects, building three major production bases and six key parts industrial parks. This rapid expansion has pushed Hefei to the top nationwide: today, 1 out of every 10 new energy vehicles produced in China comes from Hefei.

Hefei’s NEV output per capita now ranks No. 1 among Chinese cities, and Changfeng County leads all counties nationwide. The city’s strategic focus on industrial chains—from leading enterprises to full-scale clusters—continues to power its economic growth and national leadership in emerging industries.
